The City of Rawlins will no longer recycle electronic waste like old computer monitors, microwaves and TVs, so the city saves an expected $18,000 per year.
You can still bring broken or outdated electronic hardware to the city transfer station, but it will be shipped with the rest of the trash to the Casper landfill.
Cali O’Hare reports the new rates charged for e-waste and the city’s changed diversion contract with Casper.
