It was a wild weekend for local law enforcement, beginning with a crash that ended in one fatality Friday morning. The Wyoming High Patrol is still investigating the incident that happened around 9 a.m. near Rattlesnake Road south of Interstate 80. Law enforcement assisting in the incident said one person died of a self-inflicted gunshot after the crash. The highway patrol is the lead agency in the incident, and has not yet released any information.

Before midnight on Friday, Saratoga Police initiated a high-speed chase that ended with the apparent suspect’s vehicle upside down, off the road and through a barbed wire fence at 8th Street and McCaffrey Avenue. Multiple law enforcement agencies and fire trucks responded to the scene of the crash. Saratoga PD has not released any information about the incident.

In a third incident, one person was shot at Seminoe Reservoir on Saturday. Carbon County Sheriff Archie said one person was life-flighted to Casper. More information on that incident will be released today.
