Saratoga police are searching for two suspects involved in separate incidents early Saturday morning involving felony charges.
Around 1 :00 a.m., a barrage of gunfire was reported outside a home in residential neighborhood on the east side of town. Later the same morning, a break-in occurred at a local bar. A pair of suspects are believed to be involved in the separate incidents.
Shortly after 1:00 am, Saturday morning, Saratoga police received multiple reports of gunshots at the 300 block of North Veterans Street.
Police Chief Mike Morris, who asked not to have his audio used in this story, said Saratoga officers and Carbon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. Chief Morris said on arrival, they found numerous shell casings in the street and bullet holes in a vehicle and a house.
Residents in the area who asked not to be identified told Bigfoot 99 that as many as 40 shots were fired. The female suspect was in no hurry. Witnesses say she took time to sit in her vehicle, reload her weapon and resume firing at least twice. The neighbors said police did not interview them.
Chief Morris identified the suspects as Victoria Tidball and Cody Ellenson. Tidball was reportedly the lone shooter at a home on the east side of the river. She allegedly shot at the house and a car parked in front. The police chief said 28-year-old Tidball worked as a bartender at Brush Creek Ranch but is no longer employed by the resort.
Chief Morris said later Saturday morning, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary at the Whistle Pig Saloon located on Highway 130 south of Saratoga.
Chief Morris said the burglary is thought to have been committed by the same two suspects but was not related to the shooting. The suspects are believed to have fled the area in a 2000 gold colored Ford Ranger. Their whereabouts are unknown.
Chief Morris said the suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Police believe both Tiball and Ellenson fled the Saratoga area and their whereabouts are unknown.
Chief Morris said the suspects are facing multiple felony charges.
The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying Ellenson is 6’02” and approximately 172 lbs. Tidball is 5’02” and approximately 120 lbs and may have blonde hair.
A wanted poster released Monday advises residents not to approach either suspect if you spot them. Authorities report that both Tidball and Ellenson are considered armed and dangerous, Call the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office at 307-324-2776 if you spot either suspect.
