Tonight, the Wyoming men’s basketball team will face front range foe Denver in the Arena Auditorium.
The Pioneers, coming off a loss in their home opener defeated offensive powerhouse CSU in Fort Collins on Friday night 83-81. It was only DU’s second win at Colorado State in their modern Division I era. Graduate student Zane Nelson scored 22 off the bench to lead the Pioneers offensively. Fellow graduate student Julius Rollins added 16.
Wyoming Head Coach Sundance Wicks talked about the importance of the match-up from the perspective of recruiting.
The Pioneers come into Laramie tonight on a fast-turnaround Denver lost at Arizona on Monday night 103-73. The Wildcats opened the game on 13-0 run, turning Denver over five times in the opening 4:14.
