Today’s Headlines:

  • After more than four years on the lam, a Wyoming fugitive has been captured and arrested in New Mexico.
  • A Rawlins man who was apprehended after leading Rawlins Police on a foot chase in April, appeared in Carbon County District Court on Monday morning and pleaded not guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and several misdemeanor charges.
  • With the passing of Friday’s deadline to file for elected office, some municipalities in Carbon County are showing more open seats that candidates. That means write-ins could get more votes than the names on the ballot. (a minor correction to story – In Saratoga, Jon Nelson and Bob Keel are also running for town council.)
  • There is a reason Rawlins Basketball has come on strong in recent years. The Outlaws don’t take summers off. The Rawlins girls basketball team has already kicked off their summer workout program.
