New parents in Wyoming chose Noah as the top name of male babies born in 2022. According to Vital Statistic Services, a division of the Wyoming Department of Health, the top female name last year was Charlotte.

Noah and Charlotte, followed by Henry and Olivia. Hudson and Hazel were the third-place names.

Guy Beaudoin, VSS deputy state registrar with WDH, said, many babies are honored with names passed down through their families. Other influences on name choices can include currently popular movies, television shows, musicians, and celebrities.

In 2022, 6,050 babies were born in Wyoming down slightly from the 6,236 born in 2021 after the 2020 social lockdowns following the coronavirus scare.
