Saratoga police vehicles will soon be decked out in Panther Pride colors.

Thanks to Saratoga school students, police officers are getting new purple and gold graphics for their patrol vehicles. The stickers have been ordered, but there hasn’t been a date set for them to be applied to the town’s police cars.

During the September 5th Saratoga town council meeting, Police Chief Mike Morris said he wanted to have every police vehicle look similar by having the same graphics package. Chief Morris said he will allow Saratoga school students to choose between two proposed design options.

People in attendance at the September 5th meeting were quick to remind Chief Morris that the Saratoga Panther’s colors are purple and gold, not purple and yellow.

Chief Morris said he is confident he knows which livery would be chosen by the school students.

During the September 19th Saratoga town council meeting, Chief Morris said unsurprisingly, students chose the Panther Pride colored option.

Chief Morris said he has yet to decide which company will be hired to apply the graphics packages. The police chief said after the decals are applied, he’ll have an official unveiling at the schools.

Speaking to Bigfoot99 yesterday, Chief Morris said the decals are still on the way. The police chief said he expects to receive them by next week. However, he did not have a timeframe for when the new designs will be applied to the town’s patrol vehicles.

Chief Morris provided Bigfoot99 with a picture of a mockup of what Saratoga’s police vehicles will look like. The picture can be found on the Bigfoot99 website after this story is posted.
