In Cheyenne, A bill that would ban sex and gender change medical procedures for anyone under the age of 18 has been filed for the upcoming session of the Wyoming Legislature.

Republican Representative Lloyd Larsen  of Fremont County is the sponsor of House Bill 63.

The bill does outlaw any surgery that sterilizes a child, including castration, vasectomy, and hysterectomy, as well as other procedures. The language in the law include exceptions for some medical conditions.

Co-sponsors include Representative Stith and Senators Baldwin, Dockstader, and Schuler.

As a non-budget bill being filed during a budget session of the legislature, House Bill 63 will need a 2/3 majority vote for introduction.
