The Bureau of Land Management is asking the Rawlins City Council to rezone property on the south side of the municipality to accommodate new housing for seasonal wildland firefighters as well as a future wildland fire station. The matter will go before the governing body at a special meeting scheduled for tonight. Cali O’Hare met with officials behind the project and filed this report.

Tonight’s special Rawlins City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. and takes place at City Hall, located at 521 W Cedar Street.
