Tourism is always a double-edged sword, balancing the need for revenues dollars with the impacts that visitors cause.

Finding that balance is especially challenging this year, when concerns about a potentially life-threatening virus hurt businesses and put people on edge.

Carbon County is using federal money to promote safe tourism. Cali O’Hare has the story.

Carbon County face shields depicting Lake Marie and Elk Mountain, as well as clip-on hand sanitizers with the Carbon County logo are available for pick-up at the Carbon County Visitors’ Council at 508 W Cedar Street in Rawlins.
