A Casper woman died last Friday from injuries suffered in a snowmobile crash on Forest Road 225 south of Ryan Park.

According to a release from the Carbon County Sheriff’s department, the sled driven by 64-year-old Sherry Volker, went off the road and crashed into a tree. CPR was administered at the scene while Saratoga ambulance MS266 and Classic Air Medical were dispatched to the scene. The Classic Air Medical crew administered advanced life-saving measures for approximately one hour before the flight nurse pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her family was present. The time was 1:25.

The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office thanks search and rescue members William Young, James Willis, John Moore, and Trevor Vorn, as well as the Saratoga Ambulance crew and Classic Air Medical crew that responded.

Sheriff Archie Roybal also extended his condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Volker.
