The Rawlins city hall announced on Friday the upcoming public schedule for rate change discussions.

The Rawlins City Council will consider the General Fund and Landfill Rates Tuesday evening, April 16th.

The Water and Sewer Rates consideration has been moved to the council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, May 21st, to comply with notice requirements. The public survey will be extended for water/sewer feedback and will close on May 16th to provide time for review prior to the vote. During the Council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:30 pm, there will also be a public hearing dedicated to public comments on the water and sewer rates.

As advertised, the General Fund and the Landfill Fund will be heard tomorrow evening, Tuesday, April 16th at 7:30 pm. The meeting will include a public hearing dedicated to public comments on the general fund and landfill rates.

The rates being considered tomorrow include Animal Licenses and Animal Control Fees, Building Permits, Community Bus Rate, Cemetery Fees, Contractors’ Licenses, Impound and Towing Fees, Liquor, Non-resident, Solid Waste Hauler, and other Business Licenses, Recreation Rates, Rental Fees, Rochelle Ranch Golf Course Rates, Shooting Ranges Rates, Special Event Applications, Special Use Liquor Permits, and Landfill Construction and Demolition and other separated materials rates (not Municipal Solid Waste, which is commonly known as household trash).

The Rawlins City Council meeting to discuss these issues is set for Tuesday evening, 7:30 p.m.
