In a split 4—1 vote Monday, county commissioners voted to appoint Dr. Duane Abels as the public health officer for Carbon County. Abels will replace Dr. Wayne Couch, who served through the national panic over SARS-COV-2, on August 1st. Cali O’Hare has the story.
