Until the outbreak of the novel coronavirus this winter and the cascade of rules and shutdowns that followed, the role of the public health officer was largely ignored. On March 1st of this year, few people in Carbon County probably knew the name of the person who holds the position here.

Bigfoot99’s Cali O’Hare spoke with Dr. Wayne Couch, who was recently reappointed to the post, about the role and responsibilities of the job.
