In Rawlins, the pushback against large cell phone towers in residential neighborhoods has spread to another part of the city.

Union Wireless wants to replace a 45-foot tower near the city’s north water tank with a structure that could exceed 100-feet in height. A special use permit from the county is needed for the larger tower.

Nearby residents who would be affected say they don’t want it and county commissioners are listening. Cali O’Hare reports.
