A quick update on the hit-and-run last Monday night in Dixon that caused an estimated $1,000 worth of property damage or more to a playground there: Mayor Melodie Sielaff told Bigfoot 99 that she was told by law enforcement that the male suspect was arrested. Despite Colorado plates on the vehicle involved in the incident, the mayor said the suspect lives in a nearby Wyoming town.

Chain link fencing and a four-foot retaining wall were damaged. Mayor Sielaff said none of the playground equipment was damaged in the incident.

The mayor said she is collecting estimates for the repairs.
