Edinburgh Street in Rawlins is temporarily closed while crews continue the rebuild project.

Beginning this week, the intersection of Edinburgh Street and Inverness Boulevard on the east side of Rawlins will be closed to traffic.

In a media release, Rawlins Public Information Officer Mira Miller wrote that the intersection was originally expected to remain partially open during this phase of the Edinburgh Street Rebuild Project. However, the underground work needed for the new storm‑water and groundwater‑mitigation systems required more space, forcing the full closure.

Residents are being asked to use Aberdeen Avenue or Pettigrew Boulevard to access the northern entrance of the Highland Hills neighborhood.

The closure is expected to last approximately one week. Afterward, the road will reopen to one‑way traffic while crews finish the remaining work in the intersection.
