The preliminary results are in from the Steinley Cup Microbrew competition held this past Saturday in Saratoga. The event is the only official microbrew competition in Wyoming brings brewers from across the state to Veteran’s Island.

Last year, 19 breweries went tap to tap for the coveted trophy. Official numbers aren’t out yet, but attendance was down this year, according to Amanda Knotwell, executive director of the local chamber of commerce.

That didn’t stop Bond’s Brewery out of Laramie from winning People’s Choice.

Freedom’s Edge Brewing Company, out of Cheyenne, took home the ultimate prize by being voted the 26th Annual Steinley Cup Winner.

The Saratoga Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event. Knotwell congratulated all of the brewers and thanked everyone who came out Saturday to Veterans Island to enjoy the cold brews.
