Carbon County looking for a new emergency system

The Carbon County Commissioners are exploring options for a new 911 system for the county sheriff’s office. The topic is set to be approved at their meeting next Tuesday. The needed money for the system will come from the county’s Chokecherry Impact Assistance funds. Emma Diercks reports.

 

 

Passion and Pride funds to go to splash pad project

The Rawlins Downtown Development Authority’s annual Passion and Pride Ball is set for September 8th, and funds raised at this year’s event will go toward the design and construction of a splash pad in Depot Park. BLM releases a draft Environmental Impact Statement

After three years since their last public review, the Bureau of Land Management has released a draft Environmental Impact Statment for the proposed expansion of the Lost Creek uranium mine. The comment period on the draft opens today and a public meeting has been scheduled for September 11th. Emma Diercks has more.

 

 

County sports teams set for big weekend

Labor Day weekend has high school sports teams headed all over the Cowboy state, while the Wyoming football team is set for their home opener.
