City council reviews signage, landscaping code

In Rawlins: Title 19 remains a topic of discussion at city council work sessions. Under the microscope last week were changes to the portions of city code related to signage and landscaping. Cali O’Hare has the latest.

Saratoga continues RV ordinance discussion

The Saratoga Planning Commission took up a familiar topic again this week: recreational vehicles and abandoned cars.

Members agreed that all residents need to follow existing ordinances, and further noted that the itself owns property that needs to cleaned up and maintained. Emma Diercks has the story.

Services scheduled for Paramedic Wilder

In Rawlins: a memorial service is planned for Paramedic Michael Wilder, who died after suffering a heart attack while responding to a fatal rollover crash on Interstate 80 last Saturday. A ceremony is set for next Saturday in Rawlins. Cali O’Hare has the details.

 

 

Winter weather delays wind project construction

The two large wind energy developers in Carbon County will pick up construction again this spring now that winter weather has stopped work. Rocky Mountain Power plans to finish its new projects and be online by the end of the year.

The Power Company of Wyoming, meanwhile, will continue constructing roads and turbine pads at the Chokecherry Sierra Madre Project south of Rawlins. Emma Diercks has the details.

 

 

Sports: Schedules heat up for county teams

The Carbon County teams will be all over the state this weekend as their schedules begin to heat up. Joey Saverine has the preview.
