Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Rawlins

A pedestrian who was struck by a car Tuesday at a busy intersection on the east end of Rawlins is expected to make a full recovery. Cali O’Hare reports.

Power company dumps 350 wind turbine blades in Casper

The dumping of more than 350 retired wind turbine blades into the Casper landfill has a put a spotlight on just how green wind energy really is.

Rocky Mountain Power PacifiCorp told Bigfoot 99 the company is looking into better ways to dispose of the fiberglass from retired blades. Emma Diercks has the story.

Urban deer thinning begins today

In Rawlins, the Urban Mule Deer Management Plan could go into the action phase as early as today.

Adopted earlier this year, the plan allows for the lethal removal of 25 deer from the herd that roams the city. Cali O’Hare has more.

Lawmakers fail to save Wyomingites from end of daylight saving time

Wyomingites still have to turn their clocks back an hour this weekend. State lawmakers came close to ridding Wyoming of the time change.

The bill failed on a tie vote in the Senate after passing the house. A revised version of the legislation will be sent to this year’s session for another try. Emma Diercks has the story.
