Garbage collection service is back to normal in Rawlins. City Council last night approved the trash hauler licenses for both Dirty Boyz Sanitation and Wyoming Waste Collections Inc.

City Attorney Gwendolyn Wade said Dirty Boyz had tendered a letter of commitment to haul trash to the city-owned solid waste transfer station. The absence of such a commitment was a deal breaker at the renewal vote on the December 20th meeting. The attorney said the company would also reimburse the city for tipping fees that were not paid when trash was hauled to Colorado from August to October last year.

The votes to renew the licenses of both trash haulers were unanimous.
