A Carbon County Sheriff’s Deputy who was struck multiple times in the head with a taser by a combative inmate he tackled to the ground during an assault at the jail is recovering well.

The deputy had arrested the man on a federal probation revocation warrant Saturday, and was at the jail completing paperwork when the man turned on booking officers. Cali O’Hare reports.
