Governor Mark Gordon has officially invited the National Rifle Association to move its operations to gun-friendly Wyoming.

In a letter dated June 18th, Governor Gordon underscored the state’s strong support of the Second Amendment, recently passed gun-friendly legislation, as well as the lack of corporate and personal income taxes. The governor also noted that Wyoming is home to a number of businesses in the firearms industry — Magpul, Weatherby, Thunderbeast Arms, Gunwerks and Maven.

The letter concludes by saying that “we would love to have the NRA call Wyoming home.” It was signed by both Governor Gordon and Secretary of State Ed Buchannan. Both are longtime members of the NRA, according to a statement from the governor’s office. The NRA is currently located in Demorat-controlled Virginia, where five new gun control laws take effect on July 1.
