The governor said we are at a moment in history “when we must come together.” He recounted a time a century ago when the country was as divided as it is now. Then-President Teddy Roosevelt addressed a crowd in Cheyenne in 1903 that included veterans from both sides of the Civil War.

The governor concluded the speech saying that Wyoming’s time is now. He stressed the importance of the next few years and its impact on future generations.

The governor along with Secretary of State Chuck Gray, Auditor Kristi Racines, Treasurer Curt Meier, and Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder, was sworn in by Wyoming Chief Justice Kate Fox during a public ceremony held in the Capitol Rotunda.
