Jason Mead is the new director of the Wyoming Water Development office. Governor Mark Gordon announced his selection on Monday.

Mead has served as Interim Director of the WWDO since December of 2021. He has worked in the field of water resources for more than 23 years, with his last 16 years of service with the state at the water development office.

Governor Gordon said in a statement that Mead has “demonstrated his experience and expertise throughout his time at the Water Development Office and in his role as Interim Director. These qualities will continue to be critical, as we face the challenges of Wyoming water users, going forward.”

The WWDO is involved with planning, selection, financing and construction, acquisition, and operation of water projects.
