The Upper Platte River Solid Waste Disposal District is getting ready to roll out its pilot program to accept dead animal remains at the landfill.
The goal is to mix the material with wood chips until it is unrecognizable and then dispose it into the construction and demolition pit. Emma Diercks has more.
