After more than four decades as an employee of the City of Rawlins, Public Works Director Leroy Lucero is retiring.

Before a new director can be hired to fill the vacancy, however, the city council must decide whether or not to authorize the city manager to split the public works department into two divisions. That decision is expected to come tonight. Cali O’Hare has the story.
