In Rawlins, mandatory water restrictions are back for the first time since 2012. Officials expect the limitations to remain in place through the end of summer — or about eight more weeks.

Under the current restrictions, citations of up to $750 may be issued for wasteful watering, and users of more than 6,000 gallons a month could be charged higher water rates. Cali O’Hare has details.
