Earlier this month, President Joe Biden ordered the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to pull federal funding from facilities without a 100 percent vaccination rate. About 50 percent of Memorial Hospital of Carbon County’s revenue comes from CMS. A deadline by which all MHCC employees must be fully vaccinated has not yet been set.

Cali O’Hare spoke with hospital CEO Ken Harmon about the mandates and potential impacts and filed this report.
