Access to public lands versus private property rights has been at the center of a high-profile corner crossing case involving a ranch in Carbon County. A jury found the four hunters innocent of any criminal trespassing.

Now, they face a civil suit stemming from how they crossed the checkerboard from the corner of one section of public land to another. Cali O’Hare has been following this case and has the latest.
