Construction begins on I-80 in Rawlins
Spring is here and road construction season is underway. Beginning this morning, WYDOT will begin a major construction job to improve the road surface and rehabilitate bridges on Interstate 80 in Rawlins.
The six-mile project area extends from mile marker 210 to 216. Work will last through the summer.
During construction, I-80 will be reduced to one lane in each direction. WYDOT advises that drivers should use caution in the work area and obey posted speed limits. Lane closures will change as crews switch from one lane to the other as they repair concrete slabs.
Reiman Corporation is the contractor for the $4.6 million project.
