Celebrating its 23rd year, the Saratoga Steinley Cup Microbrew Festival and competition continued to put smiles on people’s faces this weekend, despite the threat of rain. Joey Saverine was there and filed this report.

 

 

Charges expected in Rawlins entrepreneur’s death

Almost a year has passed since Rawlins businessman Pat Cain was killed in a motor vehicle crash near his home. Details are still emerging, but sources familiar with the situation tell Bigfoot 99 charges will be filed against the juvenile driver of the 2014 Toyota Tundra that struck Cain’s vehicle. Write-in challengers stage last-minute campaigns

In Saratoga, while Mayor Ed Glode is running uncontested on the ballot in tomorrow’s primary election, two individuals have decided to campaign for write-in votes, John Zeiger and Daniel Starr. Emma Diercks has the story.

 

 

Construction season hits Sinclair and Fort Steele

Drivers in the Sinclair and Fort Steele areas should be prepared for road work and construction delays. Today, WYDOT crews will pave the road to the Fort Steele Historic Site. Paving work is scheduled for the CIG Road in Sinclair tomorrow. In a release out Friday, WYDOT said drivers should exercise caution and be prepared for delays because of the work.

 

Free sight-in day planned at Rawlins shooting range

Area hunters are invited to take advantage of an upcoming free sight-in day at the Rawlins Outdoor Shooting Complex. The annual event is an opportunity for hunters to ensure their rifles and bows are ready for the season. Cali O’Hare has the details.

 

 

Sports: Cowboys finish strong at fall camp

The Cowboy football team wrapped up fall camp on Saturday with a closed scrimmage. Joey Saverine takes a look at Pokes moving forward.

Pokes in the Pros: It was a wild weekend for the former Cowboy football standouts who are looking to either make a team or are fighting for playing time.

Sticking with the Broncos: Denver took on the Chicago in the Mile High City and fell by a point 24 to 23.
