The Saratoga Town Council approved an open container permit and related street closure for a Saturday night concert on Bridge Street during Saratoga Days.

Country singer Ned Ledoux is scheduled to play on a temporary stage set up on Bridge Street in the heart of downtown.

In a discussion with Mayor Creed James and Councilman Jon Nelson, Police Chief Kenneth Lehr said the open container permit applies only to the concert area.

Signs were posted last year at the boundaries of the open container area. A request from a drinking establishment around the corner from the permitted event asked if the open container area could be extended downtown. The answer from both council and the Chief Lehr was “yes” with a separate open container permit, which could also include a separate street closure permit.

The Ned Ledoux concert is set for Saturday night, July 2nd.
