An arrest was made last week in connection with a shooting in mid-December at a house on the east side of Saratoga.

On Wednesday, December 27th, Victoria Tidball was apprehended in Dawson County, Nebraska. The following day, the Saratoga Police Department released a statement about Tidball’s arrest.

Saratoga Police Chief Mike Morris said Tidball is charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery after the suspect allegedly opened fire on a Saratoga home on December 16th. Chief Morris said Tidball is also facing a charge of Accessory after the Fact in relation to the burglary of the Whistle Pig Saloon later that early same morning.

Tidball is accused of an early morning shooting at the 300 block of North Veterans Street in Saratoga. Around 1:00am on December 16th, Tidball allegedly fired approximately 40 rounds at a home and vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting. Chief Morris said he hopes to learn the motive for the attack when Tidball is extradited to Carbon County later this week.

Two hours after the shooting, Tidball and a male suspect, Cody Ellenson, allegedly burglarized the Whistle Pig Saloon, located south of Saratoga. Chief Morris said Ellenson was not with Tidball when she was arrested. The Saratoga Police Chief said evidence suggests that Ellenson is no longer in Carbon County.

Chief Morris said the Saratoga Police Department and other law enforcement agencies are following up on leads regarding Ellenson’s location.

Chief Morris said his department was able to track Tidball while she was traveling, but the police chief was unwilling to divulge any further details regarding how the suspect was located.

Chief Morris thanked the local and state law enforcement agencies who assisted in the search for Tidball.

Chief Morris explained that Tidball and Ellenson have connections to Oskaloosa County, Florida and Saint Joseph, Missouri and may have been in those areas prior to the shooting and burglary.

Chief Morris asked anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ellenson to immediately contact the police.

Ellenson is considered to be armed and dangerous and, if spotted, he should not be approached.
