In an update to a story we had for you in late March, the One for Omar campaign raised more than $10,000, allowing 12-year-old Wilk Tanner to do far more than arrange for the construction of a ramp for his wheelchair-bound friend.

Thanks to the outpouring of support from the community, the Tanner family was able to purchase a custom-fitted power chair, returning some sense of independence to Omar.

Now, they’re hoping to help another Carbon County child diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. Cali O’Hare continues to follow the story and has the update.
