The Carbon County Visitor’s Council is holding another photo contest.

Do you have the perfect picture of Carbon County? Enter your photograph in the 2024 Discover Carbon County, Wyoming Photography Contest for a chance to win a cash prize.

Carbon County Visitor’s Council Chief Executive Officer Leslie Jefferson said the photo contest is a great opportunity for residents to show off their pictures of the county. Jefferson said pictures can be of anything, just as long as they were taken in Carbon County.

The contest runs until September 3rd. After that date, Jefferson said the ten-member Carbon County Visitor’s Council board will choose their favorite pictures. The top three photographers will receive cash prizes.

Photo contest entries are assigned a number before judging. The visitor’s council board members will not know the identity of the photographers until after judging is complete.

Jefferson said pictures submitted during the contest have a chance of being used in brochures and other materials promoting Carbon County. Contest entries, both past and present, can also be viewed online.

Jefferson asked that all photo contest entries contain a brief description of where the picture was taken. The visitor’s council CEO said exact coordinates are appreciated, but not necessary.

Jefferson said only the first picture submitted from each photographer will be accepted for judging.
