Less than two months after tabling the matter, the Rawlins City Council authorized the mayor’s signature on the final plat for the proposed Myles Subdivision, located on Plaza Street.

As previously reported, Rawlins officials were working with TerraForm Companies, the retail land developer under contract to purchase a .79 acre parcel to lease to Starbucks when concerns about an easement derailed the entire project.

While the mayor’s signature on the final plat does not guarantee Starbucks will move in, it’s a promising step for development in the commercial area on the east end of the city. Cali O’Hare has the latest update in this ongoing story.
