The City of Rawlins enacted mandatory restrictions on irrigation ahead of the summer season to avoid the issuance of another boil water advisory, like what happened in early March.

City officials warn if the restrictions aren’t followed, the storage tanks could deplete as soon as next month. The situation is the result of the water infrastructure being ignored by a succession of previous administrations at city hall. Cali O’Hare reports.

People can water each section or zone of their turf and lawn for up to an hour per section per week, with odd-numbered addresses allowed to water on Mondays and even-number properties on Thursdays, before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
