Rawlins residents can water their lawns again under the once-a-week restrictions that were in place earlier this summer.

The water storage tanks are slowly returning to normal capacity. With a steady flow of spring and well water flowing into the plant, and storage tanks climbing back to normal, the total ban on watering turf has been eased. Once-a-week watering of lawns went into effect Monday.

Residences and businesses may water one day per week before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Even-numbered residences/businesses water on Thursdays, and odd-numbered residences/businesses water on Monday.

A complete description of the restrictions and how they work are available on the city’s website www.rawlinswy.gov/water. None of the city green spaces, such as parks and cemeteries, will be watered this week of September 5th.
