No pumpkins will be harmed in the in 6th Annual Pumpkin Run tomorrow, at least not intentionally.

Mira Miller is a board member of the Carbon County Library Foundation which hosts the annual fundraiser. The Tough Pumpkin Obstacle Course is a new addition to the 2K and 5K run, which will be held tomorrow at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course. Miller said all the fun of previous years will be back tomorrow with a few twists.

Both the 2K and the 5K will start at 9 a.m. The Tough Pumpkin Obstacle Course promises to be entertaining for both contestants and spectators. Library Foundation Treasurer Jenita Calton said the course consists of seven different challenges.

The pumpkin balance challenge could involve bricks and boards, Calton said. A Jack-Be-Little Dash will also be he held for pre-K and younger with special prizes for all.
Registration is $20 per runner or $50 for the entire family. All the proceeds go to support library services around the county.

Miller said 125 pumpkins will be laid out on the green grass at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course tomorrow morning. Rather than a t-shirt souvenir, participants can take home their pumpkin. Gift bags and water also will be provided. The 2K and 5K start at 9 a.m. You may want to arrive earlier.
