Nearly 300 trees, bushes, and seedlings were planted by Rawlins residents last year as part of the municipality’s annual Arbor Day Celebration, where representatives from the Wyoming State Forestry Division formally renewed the community’s designation as a Tree City for the 26th consecutive year. Rawlins’ 27th annual Arbor Day celebration begins this Friday, April 29th, and continues Saturday. Cali O’Hare has the details.

All Rawlins residents are encouraged to attend the Arbor Day festivities, which take place at 1524 Daley Street, on Friday, April 29th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Free seedlings and trees available for purchase at cost are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
