The Carbon County Commissioners approved a conditional use permit for Rocky Mountain Power PacifiCorp that they tabled in December.

The board requested the utility company explore relocating three miles of its Gateway West Segment D-1 to the east side of Highway 487.

On Tuesday, Rocky Mountain Power presented the cost of moving the entire 20-mile transmission line bordering the highway, causing two commissioners to vote against the project.
