In Rawlins, the search for a new Chief of Police is underway.

On Tuesday, Chief Troy Palmer ended his monthly report to the City Council with a surprise announcement of his impending retirement.

Cali O’Hare has an overview of Palmer’s career, why and how you should consider supporting his family and the city’s plan to find his successor.

All proceeds from the raffle will be used to offset the cost of Jennifer Palmer’s treatments. Tickets can be purchased for $20 each and are available at the Rawlins Police Department, located at 215 5th Street.
