Although a year behind schedule, the Saratoga Town Council finally approved the audit of the town books for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 this week.

Councilman Jon Nelson expressed concern about the misstatement of cash identified in the audit. Nelson also noted discrepancies in how cash was handled for the fiscal year that just concluded, saying the town’s financial software shows that town hall spent $181,000 more than council approved or even considered in FY 2019-2020. Emma Diercks reports.
