Saratoga officials on Tuesday release more information about an incident Saturday morning where a woman fired approximately 40-rounds of bullets at a house and vehicle in a residential neighborhood east of the river.
The early morning shooting followed by break-in at a bar in town several hours later prompted Saratoga police and Carbon County Sheriff’s deputies to search for Victoria Tidball and Cody Ellenson.
Saratoga Police Chief Mike Morris held a press conference on Tuesday morning to speak about the event. Chief Morris said police responded to calls of gunshots on the east side of town.
Chief Morris said Tidball, acting alone, fired approximately 40 rounds into the victim’s home and vehicle.
Chief Morris said the unidentified victim was unharmed. The police chief said Tidball fled the scene in a gold-colored 2000 Ford Ranger. Two hours later, at around 3:00 am, Chief Morris said Tidball met up with Ellenson and the two burglarized the Whistle Pig Saloon, south of town.
Sources told Bigfoot99 that Ellenson was employed as a bartender at the Whistle Pig Saloon.
Chief Morris said he was unable to speak more about the burglary because the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. However, the police chief was able to confirm that Ellenson was not at the scene of the earlier shooting.
Chief Morris said Tidball and the victim property was targeted in the shooting know each other. The police chief said the shooting appears to be personally motivated, and not necessarily drug related.
Chief Morris said cell phone tracking data shows that both Tidball and Ellenson have left the area. However, the police chief said the data may not be entirely accurate. The hunted pair may not even have the phone with them. Chief Morris encouraged the public to continue to be on the lookout for both suspects and their gold Ford Ranger.
Chief Morris said Tidball and Ellenson are considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, the police chief said not to approach either suspect. Instead, Chief Morris said to immediately call the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office describes Ellenson as 6’02” and approximately 172 lbs. Tidball is 5’02” and approximately 120 lbs and may have blonde hair.
If you see either of the suspects, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 324-2776.
