A snowmobiler was caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche near Willow Park in the Encampment River Wilderness Saturday afternoon.

A preliminary report from Colorado Avalanche Information Center states that the incident occurred within old snow at an elevation around 10,000 feet. The avalanche occurred on northeast-facing slope around 2 p.m., according to the report. No other information was available.
