City Manager “updates” council with old information

During Tuesday’s Rawlins city council work session, officials asked for an update on the proposed development at Tin Can Hill.

Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare, who has been following the story since early 2017, reports that very little new information was presented.

Instead, council members were treated to old details repackaged as an “update.”

 

 

Saratoga officials seek funds for police force

The Saratoga Town Council is looking to obtain impact assistance funds from two upcoming wind energy projects.

While the council has not approved how funds associated with the Two Rivers and Lucky Start projects near Medicine Bow would be used, beefing up the Saratoga’s police force is the top consideration. Emma Diercks has the story.

Hospital CEO reports latest stats to county leaders

Officials at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County are closing out what they characterize as a successful year.

In a presentation to county leaders Tuesday, the CEO of the hospital provided the latest numbers alongside the vision for the future. Cali O’Hare has more.

Later on Tuesday, Quist appeared at the Saratoga Town Council meeting where he mentioned the hospital will interview candidates for the full-time CEO position in the coming weeks.

Quist said even if one of the candidates is hired, he will stay on at the hospital for a time to finish up some projects.

 

Saratoga takes on Odd Fellows Park

The Town of Saratoga will soon take on maintenance of the Odd Fellows Picnic Area. Bridge Street Bargains, which has been doing the work for the past several years, will continue to donate funds to the site. Emma Diercks reports.
