A nurse specializing in infection and disease prevention at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County spearheaded a talk Wednesday about the novel coronavirus or COVID-19, and what area residents need to know about it. Cali O’Hare reports.

New Marshal in Medicine Bow

In Medicine Bow: Several months after deciding to re-establish its own law enforcement, the town has hired a new Marshal. His first day on the job will be this Sunday, March 1st. Emma Dircks has the story.

Rawlins man arrested on domestic assault, drug charges

In Rawlins, what began with an investigation into the smell of marijuana wafting from a motel room ended with police helping a woman escape her alleged abuser.

Both the defendant and the victim are local residents who moved into an extended stay motel two weeks ago. Cali O’Hare reports.

Saratoga Museum asks town council for support

The Saratoga Museum Board has a goal. It must obtain 652 signatures to get a proposed museum tax district on the November 3rd General Election Ballot. Last week, the board asked the Saratoga Town Council for its endorsement of the proposal. Emma Diercks has the story.

 

 

Sports: Road to Casper begins today for 1A basketball teams

The 1A regional basketball tournament gets underway today, and the teams of Carbon County are looking to punch their ticket to Casper. Joey Saverine has the slated match-ups.
