Today’s Headlines:

  • While state funding to education is decreasing, federal funding has increased. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow said the uptick in money from Washington might help the poorest schools in the state.
  • In anticipation of the upcoming National Travel and Tourism Week, representatives from the Carbon County Visitor’s Council met with the Board of Carbon County Commissioners to discuss the importance of local tourism.

  • The Platte Valley’s community clean up days take place this weekend starting on Friday. Extra trash fees will be waived to promote keeping the valley clean.
